Phase Three — Renewed Ambition 101 · Module 20 of 24 · 90 minutes
Becoming a Peer Support Specialist for the next person coming up behind you.
What you will be able to do
- Understand Peer Support Specialist practice as a leadership pathway grounded in lived experience.
- Identify one way to mentor, support, or serve someone earlier in their journey.
- Practice leading by example within the house community.
Why this matters
The Compounding Framework’s Fifth Law says multiplication is greater than growth — the highest expression of success is creating opportunity for others, not just advancing yourself. Leadership through service is where personal growth becomes community impact.
Reality check: You don’t need a title to lead. The residents who make the biggest difference in a house are often the ones who show up consistently for someone else, not the ones with the loudest opinions.
Activity
Mentorship Match — pair residents further along in the program with newer residents for a structured check-in.
Scenario
A newer resident is struggling with something a peer resident overcame six months earlier. That peer’s willingness to share what actually worked does more than any outside expert could in that moment.
What would you do first?
Reflection
- What’s one way you’re already leading, even if you haven’t called it that?
- What would it look like for you to formally mentor someone in the next 90 days?
My action plan (pick at least one)
- Identify one person you can mentor, support, or check in on regularly.
- Take one concrete leadership action in the house this month.
- Consider whether the Peer Support Specialist Certification pathway is right for you.
